Manchester United winger Amad Diallo was seen leaving the MetLife Stadium on crutches following a twisted ankle injury during the friendly victory against Arsenal.
Despite the injury setback, the Red Devils continued their impressive pre-season form with a convincing 2-0 win over Arsenal. Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho were the goal-scorers in the first half.
During halftime, manager Erik ten Hag made wholesale changes to the outfield players, and Diallo was among the substitutes brought in. Unfortunately, he sustained the injury after just 10 minutes on the pitch, with concern over his left ankle.
The Ivory Coast star was seen leaving the field limping during the friendly match against Arsenal and was subsequently replaced by Facundo Pellistri.
Following the game, Manchester Evening News reported that Amad was seen leaving on crutches with his ankle strapped, as shown in a video provided by journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

During the previous season, the 21-year-old had a successful loan spell with Sunderland, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.
In the current pre-season, Amad has shown glimpses of his quality with impressive movement in the final third, but he has yet to find his cutting edge in front of goal.

Diallo suffered a setback during the friendly match yesterday, with no one around him. He had difficulty walking off the field, and there are hopes that the injury is only short-term for the winger.
If it’s a twisted ankle, he might be able to return to the pitch in a few weeks, but if there’s ligament damage, it could keep him out of first-team action for a longer period.
Unfortunately, the injury has come at an inconvenient time for Amad. Feyenoord has shown interest in loaning him, and they were close to securing the loan deal back in 2021 before he suffered a thigh injury in training with United.
