Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has officially joined Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain earlier this week on a free transfer deal after leaving Premier League side Manchester United.
After a five year stint with the red half of Manchester, Ander Herrera has joined French outfit Paris Saint Germain by signing a five year deal with the Ligue 1 champions. The 29-year-old midfielder will be given a lucrative £350,000 a week wage rate as he will play his football in the French capital.
Herrera helped Manchester United win the FA Cup, League Cup, and the Europa League during his time at Old Trafford and made 132 League appearances and scored 20 goals for the red half of Manchester.
Upon signing his deal with PSG, Herrera revealed that PSG are the greatest club in France and he is looking forward to his next chapter in life, “Paris Saint-Germain are the greatest club in France. They keep on improving and compete to win every possible title. I was looking forward to coming to Paris and wearing colors.”
Herrera, who has been capped twice for the Spanish national team also added that he wants to make history with the club and hopes to improve on his speaking skills, “I hope to continue making history with the club – joining is an amazing feeling. I also love the city. Paris is the most beautiful city in the world. I promise three things: work, professionalism, and passion. I also promise to improve my French because I think language is very important for team communication.”
