As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Andreas Pereira has hinted at a potential exit by saying that he will be open to a move to Fenerbahce.
The Brazilian midfielder has been getting less game time at Man United and was even loaned out to Lazio last season. Being 25 years old, he still has a lot to give and needs regular football.
When asked about the interests of Fenerbahce, he said: “I leave the negotiations to my agent. If the interest is true, it would be great to talk to interested teams and see the project for my career, the importance I will have in the squad, and future projection. About Fenerbahce, it’s a country with people passionate about football. And Alex is one of my idols in the position, it would be nice to wear his shirt. Why not? But it all depends on what they want for my career, as well as other interested clubs.”
Must Read– Andreas Pereira is ready to end his journey as-a Manchester United player
He joined Manchester United in 2014 and was a bright academy player. There was a huge hype around the player and he showed some good performances for United early on. He was then loaned out to Granada and Valencia where he was very underwhelming.
He was given numerous chances to play for Manchester United after his loan spell but he failed to make a good impression. His loan move to Lazio last season was also not so fruitful.
He has been a regular player for Manchester United in the ongoing friendly matches but his chances to play regularly for Manchester United looks very slim. There are a host of players like Bruno Fernandes, Donny Van De Beek, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, McTominay, and other players who will be preferred ahead of him.
There is a much greater chance that Manchester United will sell Andreas Pereira this summer and the player will openly accept the decision. It will help him to get some much-needed game time.
