As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is set to join Brazilian club Flamengo on loan. The two clubs have agreed on a deal and the 25-year-old will join Flamengo on a one-year loan move.
One reason this deal took pace is because of Flamengo’s eagerness to complete the deal by next Tuesday. It was done quickly as Flamengo wanted to enlist new signings for Copa do Brasil before next Tuesday’s deadline day.
Manchester United and Flamengo had been heavily negotiating for the deal in the past few days to concur personal terms. Just the final details are left to be dealt with.

Earlier it was reported that Flamengo will pay half of his salary but then United decreased their demand. The Brazilian club will now pay a small part of his salary. Andreas Pereira attracted interests of different clubs like Everton and Fenerbahce however he favored a move to Brazil.
Pereira broke into United’s first team in 2015. From that point, he has been loaned out to Granada, Valencia, and Lazio. He was given another four-year contract in 2019, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer quick to draw out the best in him.
The player has shown some positive signs on many events however has failed to put in consistent performances for Man United. In 75 appearances for the club, Pereira scored only four goals regardless of playing as an attacking midfielder for Manchester United.
At this phase of his career, it will be better for Pereira to take this loan deal and get himself some much-needed game time.
