Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has officially signed a new four-year contract extension with the Red Devils with the option to further extend his stay by another season.
The Red Devils suffered a torturous season this term as they finished sixth on the Premier League table and without any silverware. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a massive job in the summer and beyond if he is to bring the 20 time League Champions back to the summit in England.
However, the Norwegian managed also needs to keep hold of a few players that will help the club grow and take the next step forward by tying important players at the club for a long period. United have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira has signed a new long term contract extension with the club which will keep him at Old Trafford for the next four years.
The 23-year-old Pereira expressed his delight at penning a new deal and said, “I have spent so long in Manchester that I now regard the city and the club as my home and I’m extremely happy to continue my career here. The manager has shown great faith in me and I can’t wait to get this campaign started under him. We know that we all have to work hard and that started on day one of pre-season. I will be doing everything I can to help us perform the way we need to, this season and beyond. I also want to thank my family for the trust they have in me and God for the opportunity he has given me.”
