According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal regarding signing Andreas Pereira has collapsed between Manchester United and Flamengo.
He is one of Manchester United’s loaned-out players along with Anthony Martial, who is expected to return to the club as his loan deal falls through.
The Brazilian midfielder has been on a long loan to Flamengo in Brazil’s Serie A league. He did feature in 45 games in all competitions for the club, and he scored 9 goals in the process.
Andreas Pereira was on the verge of committing his future to Flamengo, and a fee had been agreed upon with Manchester United. However, after Pereira made a costly error during the Copa Libertadores, the deal was postponed due to concerns with his form.
Since then, Flamengo manager Paulo Sousa has stated that he wants the Brazilian to stay at the club and has informed football director Bruno Spindel of his desire.
However, according to a recent tweet by the transfer specialist, a deal has now fallen through.

The agreement between Flamengo and Man United to keep Pereira has definitely collapsed.

With the new contract expiring and new Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag likely to make substantial changes at Old Trafford, it will be interesting to see if ten Hag includes Pereira in his plans or if the Brazilian is sold off to another club once more.
How commonly we have seen that Pereira has been an impressive player during the preseason games but then again becoming mediocre when the league game starts.
He has been in and out of the team and it doesn’t seem as if he holds a future at Manchester United. The most difficult part is that no other teams have shown interest in signing the Brazilian midfielder which itself makes his future uncertain at such young age.
