As reported by EuroSport, Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has been given permission to search for a new club. His chances to feature regularly for Manchester United have hit a major roadblock after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Anthony Martial was a good back-up for Edinson Cavani last summer but his chances of playing were reduced due to an injury. He had suffered a knee injury while playing for France in the month of March.
Since then Edinson Cavani has taken his role and has flourished well. Martial has now recovered and even took part in the preseason training.
But when there were chances for him to play, another major concern came in. With the arrival of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo, Martial’s chances of playing have been reduced drastically.
This season, he has been given substitute appearances by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer but we consider Cavani to take his place on the bench once he recovers from his injury. It has been a pretty hard time for the French striker at Manchester United and we think that the player could make a move in January.
Solksjaer and his management will create no hindrance on a transfer as it would be profitable for both the parties involved. The club is ready to sell him for £40m in January.
Martial’s current contract with Manchester United runs till June 2024 and if any club wants to sign him then they have to negotiate for a fee.
