Anthony Martial receives more racist abuse after West Brom draw

The Premier League has been trying to advocate the message of equality and representation for all races for a long time now. Every match starts with all the players taking a knee to show that there is no place for racism in football or the world.

More and more awareness is being spread about racism and how people should combat it at every level possible.

Anthony Martial had another game to forget against West Brom as he could not create a lot of chances and has seen his form go really down in the season.

Cavani seems to have become the talisman and has scored more goals in fewer starts as his instincts in front of goal are something that only a few players possess.

Anthony Martial was once again subjected to racist remarks after the draw to West Brom. Anthony Martial and Tuanzebe were also subject to such derogatory comments after their loss against Sheffield United.

The club and the players showed their solidarity and reiterated the fact that every player has his bad days but that is never an excuse for discriminating against someone based on their gender, caste, creed, or religion.

Facebook which is the parent company of Instagram swiftly removed the comments and accounts that broke the rules. They are continuing to investigate the matter further and are committed to taking swift action according to Sky Sports.

Facebook was criticised by a lot of the people after this incident took place and it pledged to take swift action and impose stricter penalties and rules for people who were found to be in breach of its policies.
