Arsenal keeping tabs on Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford

According to Goal, Arsenal is closely monitoring Manchester United star Marcus Rashford. The 24-year-old’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain because his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2023.

Although they have the option to extend it to an additional year, United hasn’t yet exercised it to protect the striker’s value. However, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is looking into the possibility of signing the English star next summer.

Rashford continues to pique the interest of the Londoners, who are keeping an eye on him amid interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Although United estimates him to be worth over £50 million, he is now expected to become a free agent in the summer. After a miserable 2021–22, the United academy product has shown indications of discovering his best form this year.

In seven Premier League appearances so far this season, he has three goals and two assists to his credit. He scored a brace against Omonia and also provided the assists for the Martial goal.

After struggling to have an impact when playing on the left in past seasons, Erik ten Hag has moved the attacker back to his preferred central position.

After losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette last year, the Gunners went all guns blazing to sign Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus. They can still target another striker next summer in order to improve their squad depth and provide options in attack.
