Arsenal vs Manchester United: Player Ratings

Manchester United and Arsenal had a blockbuster clash at the Emirates Stadium as both the teams gave their best to grab all three points.

The Red Devils got off to a shaky start, conceding the game’s first goal in the third minute when Nuno Tavares struck the back of the net. Arsenal’s lead was extended after Bukayo Saka converted his penalty in the 32nd minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo handed Man United a lifeline with a brilliant finish from close range only two minutes later. Ralf Rangnick’s side went into the halftime break behind 2-1. With a stunning long-range shot in the 70th minute, Granit Xhaka secured the points for the home side.

The Spanish goalkeeper made a few important saves at the back, but he couldn’t prevent Arsenal from scoring three goals in the match.

He was unlucky to hit the crossbar but had a strong offensive game. Still, he struggled to defend inside his own half.

Lindelof appeared shaky and put on a dismal performance.

The Frenchman made a number of crucial clearances, but he was unable to prevent Arsenal from running in open spaces inside his penalty box.

McTominay fought hard to protect his backline, his energy was being felt throughout the match.

He regained possession on a handful of occasions and was credited with an assist for setting up Ronaldo’s first-half goal.

Elanga used his speed to cause some difficulties for the opponents, but he didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.

Bruno Fernandes (CAM) – 6/10

The Portuguese playmaker produced some good chances for his teammates, but he missed a penalty that cost Man United the game.

Jadon Sancho (LW) – 6.5/10

Sancho made a few good runs with the ball, but he never seemed like he was going to score.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) – 7/10 

Ronaldo was a continuous menace in front of the Arsenal goal and deserves credit for his goal in the 34th minute, which he scored with a terrific finish.
