AS Roma move close to United’s valuation of Smalling

Chris Smalling has waited long for his move from Manchester United FC, as he returned from Italy about a couple of months ago. He doesn’t belong to Solskjaer’s plans and wants to move to AS Roma, with whom he spent the last season on-loan. It is now being reported by Sky Sports that AS Roma is very close to signing Chris Smalling with a bid incoming in the next few days.

Chris Smalling has joined the United training but is training alone in a bubble. The former United captain has trained alone and has remained away from the rest of the squad. Even though Smalling has drawn the attention of several clubs, with Newcastle and Inter Milan being the closest after AS Roma.

It is now being reported that AS Roma are finally moving closer to United’s valuation of Chris Smalling. It has also been reported that a bid is likely to be submitted on United’s table in the near future. Along with Smalling, talks might also involve Diogo Dalot, who Solskjaer wants out of United, as the right-back isn’t in the manager’s plans.

Manchester United must complete the sale of Smalling as soon as possible and use the money they get in new signings.
