Aurelien Tchouameni could be Erik Ten Hag’s favorite signing

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is rumoured to be interested in signing AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.

After beating the likes of PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino, the Dutchman is set to become United’s next manager. Ten Hag has agreed in principle to succeed interim manager Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford after impressing with two domestic titles at Ajax, with a third possible this season.

As reported by ESPN, Erik Ten Hag wants to revamp United’s midfield and is interested in signing AS Monaco sensation Aurelien Tchouameni.

Following a successful season in Ligue 1, Aurelien Tchouameni is considered hot property in the football world. He has a passing accuracy of 87% and has the most pass interceptions in Ligue 1 this season

Monaco is said to be open to talks about a transfer since they believe he will want to join a bigger club in the near future. If they sell this summer, the French side will earn handsomely on the young player they bought from Bordeaux in 2020. They will not budge for anything less than £70-80m.

Despite the fact that PSG is interested in signing Tchouameni, ESPN reports that the player prefers to leave France.

He’d be a perfect replacement for Paul Pogba, who is likely to leave on a free transfer this summer. PSG was looking at the possibility of adding both, Pogba and Tchouameni to their squad next season.

But as things stand, it will not be easy for them to lure both of them to Paris. Tchouameni could be attracted by the club’s decision of signing Erik Ten Hag in the coming weeks.
