Axel Tuanzebe expected to leave Manchester United on loan

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Axel Tuanzebe is expected to leave Manchester United on loan as many clubs line up for his services.

The Red Devils academy graduate battled for playing time last season, overseeing only 918 minutes across 19 appearances in all competitions. He was the fourth-optional center-back behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Eric Bailly last season and was restricted to only four startss in the competition.

Manchester United will sign another defender to partner Harry Maguire. It is therefore expected that Tuanzebe may be allowed to leave on loan. The 23-year-old had a difficult season with United, and he was disregarded for the Europa League finals as well, where Bailly got approval to partner Lindelof.

His shots at getting a starting spot are looking dry, and a loan move somewhere else could help him with recapturing his form and consistency. Tuanzebe’s last match was against Aston Villa, where he played a vital part in their victory as United comfortable cruised past them. But we think that Aston Villa would be a great destination for him.

Aston Villa has since shaped a strong defensive line-up through Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa, yet there were a few problems in terms of their defending. Mings is basically a guaranteed starter for Villa. Tuanzebe could have the chance to rival Konsa if he gets back to the club on loan.

Aston Villa have already set their sights on big players and they have spend £250 since their welcoming back from Championship shows that they are ready for Europe. Tuanzebe could get a new club if he can capitalize on his game time. It stays not yet clear whether Villa is in a hurry to re-sign him.
