According to Portuguese outlet A Bola (as quoted by the Manchester Evening News), Barcelona and Bayern Munich have made contact with Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes’ agent to know the final details of a transfer.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been a vital player in a season filled with disappointing performances. He has scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists in 48 appearances for the Red Devils last season.
However, he has been linked with a move away from the club and this has surprised the fans. Fernandes has admitted that he wants to play for the club and he will stay if they want him to be a part of them.
But he might also be open to a move if United decide to sell him to raise money for transfers. The English club were unable to sign players in January due to Profit and Sustainability Rules and they could be forced to deal with similar issues this summer.
Hence, reports are stating that United are open to selling several of their senior players. We believe that Fernandes’ links are purely agent-driven and it is being done to lure United into offering a new deal to the Portuguese midfielder.

The senior midfielder would like to match Marcus Rashford’s £300,000 per week. But, Bayern and Barcelona want to exploit these conditions and prepare an offer for the creative playmaker.
The Bavarian giants want to return to the top of the German League and signing Fernandes could help them achieve their goals. Meanwhile, Barcelona want a creative midfielder who can bring his leadership skills to Camp Nou.
But it would be difficult for them to sign a player who is considered a prized asset for Man United. Transfermarkt value him at £60 million.

Bayern can match this fee but Barcelona will not be in favour of throwing a spanner in the works. We believe that Man Utd would not risk losing their most consistent player to a foreign club.
Fernandes has been a world-beater since moving to the Theatre of Dreams from Sporting CP four years ago. He recently won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for three consecutive years at Man United.
INEOS can’t afford to lose one of their key players and hence, will prefer offering a new contract.
