According to the German publication Bild, Bayern Munich is interested in signing in-form Manchester United star Marcus Rashford this summer.
Last summer, the reigning German champions lost a key striker in Robert Lewandowski, and they haven’t been able to replace him yet. There have been rumours about Harry Kane leaving Tottenham, but now it has come out that the club is also thinking about Marcus Rashford because of his great play.
Rashford’s contract expires in June of next year, and the Bavarian powerhouses are aware that they can only sign him then for free. Right now, United has no intention of selling its key player.
Paris Saint-Germain was keeping an eye on the England star following a poor 2021/22 season in which he scored only five goals. Despite his brother’s contact with the French club, United has made it clear that the 25-year-old will not be transferred.
Rashford’s improvement under Erik ten Hag has backed up the decision. With 21 goals and 8 assists already this season, the England international is on pace to reach 40-50 goal involvements this season.
Bayern Munich has been linked with him, but United fans should not be alarmed by the constant transfer rumours. Rashford has no chance of joining the German champions, and United will extend his existing contract, which runs through June 2024.
He is currently making £200,000 per week, so paying him £400,000 per week seems like a no-brainer choice.
