As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham is closing on a deal to sign United target Yves Bissouma after agreeing to pay a £25 million transfer fee.
Bissouma’s current deal has just 12 months left on it, and Brighton is eager to cash in this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has made signing a midfielder one of his top priorities this summer, and a deal for Bissouma might be completed this week. They are set to complete all the paperwork in the coming days.
This news comes up as a major blow for Manchester United as they have been following the Brighton midfielder for many years. Bissouma has Premier League experience and plus his versatility could be a major bonus for any team that he plays in.

It was a great opportunity for Ten Hag to go after the defensive midfielder, as he was available for just £25m. The Red Devils have already released Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic and they need at least two new midfield signings.
The issue is that the club’s board is still stuck in negotiations to sign Frenkie from Barcelona. the deal is already taking too much time and this could lead to other teams’ signings of our targets. To make things worse, Tottenham is looking to sign Christan Eriken from Brentford who is another United target.
If United want to make this transfer window a success, they need to be more flexible with their work.
