Boca Juniors poised to sign United outcast Marcos Rojo in January

Argentine outfit Boca Juniors are closing in on signing Manchester United fringe first-teamer Marcos Rojo, according to recent reports from The Sun.

Rojo has been widely tipped to seal an exit from Old Trafford in the upcoming January winter transfer window following the Argentina international defender has fallen down the pecking order in Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side.

However, many of the sides who have been wanting to make a move for the centre-back have been left dismayed by the asking price being demanded by the Red Devils to part ways with Rojo.

Boca Juniors, meanwhile, are understood to be consenting towards shelling out a figure in the region of £4.5 million to bring Rojo back to his homeland and resurrect his career as a first-team regular.

As Manchester United head into the January transfer window seeking additional centre-back reinforcements, Rojo is one such player at the club who will be offloaded in order to make way for potential acquisitions by Solskjaer’s side.
