Boca Juniors President: We will love to have Cavani in our team

The tango between Edinson Cavani and Boca Juniors will proceed until the 33-year-old striker settles on his future. The Manchester United FC striker will either stay in the Premier League or head home to South America.

In a meeting with ESPN (by means of TNT Sports), Boca Juniors president Jorge Amor Ameal talked about Cavani and expressed that his inclination is for El Matador to join the Argentine club this mid-year when his agreement with The Red Devils terminates.

Ameal said: “Hopefully, Edinson Cavani can come. If he wants to, it’s because he loves Boca a lot and makes us happy that they want to wear our colors.”

Boca Juniors are under another leadership bunch of their previous player Juan Román Riquelme, and they’re hoping to make a sprinkle. The Buenos Aires-based club needs a striker, and they’d like for their number nine to be a marquee name in world football.

Cavani fits the striker that Boca Juniors will be after this forthcoming window. Regardless, Manchester United appears to be enthused about saving the veteran striker for another season. The Daily Mail reports that chief administrator Ed Woodward and recently designated overseer of football John Murtough met with Cavani to examine staying with Manchester United for the 2021-22 mission.

The current scenario with Cavani seems to be getting complicated day by day. New transfer theories keep on popping up for both the player and the club. The club signed Cavani as an emergency signing and a need of a striker to ease the burden of Anthony Martial.

Cavani has been good but at this age, he has his own fitness-related issues, and to perform consistently for such a big club is always a matter of pressure. A new club will certainly be the final destination for the player as his playing career closes by.
