Ethan Laird will have a medical at AFC Bournemouth after Manchester United and the Championship club struck an agreement on a loan transfer.
The defender is expected to undergo tests within the next 48 hours before completing a move to the Vitality Stadium, according to Sky Sports.
Laird, who is currently on loan at Swansea City, will be recalled before being transferred to Championship rivals AFC Bournemouth. The defender has been a regular for Swansea in the second-tier since coming on a temporary deal last summer.
Laird has made 20 Championship appearances for Swansea during his time there, as well as a League Cup appearance for Russell Martin’s side. It might be claimed that this move would benefit all parties involved in the deal.

Laird could make much more progress in terms of his development if he plays regularly for the Cherries in the coming months, allowing him to return to Old Trafford as a much more accomplished player.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, is in need of a new right-back, as Adam Smith is presently sidelined with a knee injury, and Laird may fill the void.
Laird currently has a decent record in the Championship, indicating that he understands what it takes to compete at this level. It wouldn’t be unexpected if he takes his game to new heights under Parker’s guidance.
