Brentford 4-0 Manchester United Match Report- PL 2022/23

Marking the 30th Birthday of the Premier League on Monday, once again Manchester United have proved how bad they have been. It’s just the start of the season and nothing is going the right way. For the first time in the club’s history, United have conceded four goals in the first half. Brentford are just soaring high up in the sky with all their tactics paying off.

As predicted before the game, the danger man Josh Dasilva scored from a long-range which should have been comfortably caught by David De Gea but it just went in, leaving the United team in utter shock and despair.
Eight minutes later another David De Gea mistake cost the team yet another setback making the score line 2-0 in their favour. Ten Hag’s first away game in charge and surely the one to forget.

Just before the clock could strike 40 minutes the score line was already a whopping 4-0. Bruno Fernandes and Eriksen found quite a lot of chances throughout the game but the Brentford goalkeeper, Raya made brilliant saves to protect their much-deserved clean sheet. Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo were amongst the other goal scorers as well. Brentford had a total of seven shots on target out of which four went in. Meanwhile, United had only four shots on target showing how poor the performance was. Varane, Malacia and Scott Mctominay were all brought on in the second half to help the team. Unnecessary fouls were committed throughout the game.

It’s hard to sugar-coat what has been a tough evening for United. The second half performance was much better but the damage was irreversible. Huge credit to the United fans who traveled all the way here and sang their hearts out despite a shameful result.

Christian Norgaard completed a total of 6 duels, 15 passes completed and had 31 touches to the ball. United strikers fumbled in front of the goal.
The Reds face Liverpool next and there’s certainly no way United fans and team be confident to at least steal a single point from the much-awaited and heated fixture.
