Bruno Fernandes awarded by his hometown Maia

As reported by The Sun, Bruno Fernandes was awarded a well-deserved award in his Portuguese hometown Maia. He has been awarded for his great progress in becoming a superstar footballer today.

The Portuguese municipality of Maia has recognized Bruno for his incredible rise in football which has made his locality and country proud. Mayor Antonio da Silva Tiago handed the gold prize to Bruno Fernandes.

It is an honour of pride for Bruno Fernandes to receive such great recognition from his hometown where he was born and brought up.

In his kind words, Mayor Tiago said: “Whether in Portugal or Man United, he is a hero of Maia and we are very honoured. In my opinion, he is the one who will succeed Cristiano Ronaldo in our national team’s attack. You have a great future ahead of you. You are humble but you are competent and very capable.”

Bruno Fernandes then replied that he was overwhelmed by this incredible gesture as he said: “Being a Mayan and being a proud person to have been born and raised here, being able to receive this medal means a lot to me. It means what I’ve been doing, in addition to the dreams I’ve conquered, also makes my land proud. I hope to continue to do so.”

Bruno Fernandes has been in incredible form for Manchester United. He has scored 40 goals and provided 25 assists in 80 appearances for the Red Devils. Such huge numbers require credit and we congratulate him for his marvellous progress in football.
