Bruno Fernandes has shown that he is one of the most hungry players on the pitch ever since he has donned the Manchester United jersey.
He pulled off an excellent goal against the Toffees as Manchester United looked to be in cruise control towards the end of the first half where they had a lion’s share of the positions as well as the chances.
They were creating a lot of chances and Edinson Cavani’s link-up play was providing some genuine issues for the away team. It looked like Manchester United were only headed for another victory from here but that wasn’t to be.
Amongst the other players at the club, Bruno was one who openly voiced his frustrations after the match as he has done so on previous occasions.
“There are a lot of things to be disappointed with,” he told MUTV after the match.
Bruno Fernandes isn’t shy to let his teammates know when they are not fulfilling their duties to the required amount and tries to keep everyone in check in the field. He further added “We were making so many mistakes in the last few games and we can’t keep conceding goals like that. We have to be more focused, we have to have the same desire to score and to defend our goal.”
Bruno admits that Manchester United needs to be more focused on defence and feels that they need to focus a lot on fixing their issues.
Any solid title-winning team needs a strong base and that base is created from a sturdy defence that can keep out opposition attacks.
Manchester United has shown their inconsistency at the back time and again at crucial junctures and it feels like they can’t keep going like this if they want to win any silverware shortly.
