Manchester United faced a humiliating loss against Tottenham last time the Red Devils were in action in the Premier League. United made some drastic changes in halftime after conceding four goals in the first half against the Spurs. It is now being reported by the Daily Mirror that Bruno Fernandes had a heated argument with his teammates in the dressing room at halftime.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took Bruno Fernandes and Nemanja Matic out at halftime, and the substitution of Fernandes was put to question. The Portuguese midfielders is one of the most passionate players in the United side even though he joined the club in January. The Red Devils had one of their poorest halves in the Premier League history, conceding four goals in the first half at Old Trafford.
It has now been reported that a matchday official explained Bruno’s reaction and said: “He laid into team-mates, accusing them of not upholding the proud name of Manchester United. He kept yelling, ‘We are supposed to be Manchester United. This shouldn’t be happening’.”
He also added, “It was clear that the manager also came under fire because he was going on about the wrong tactics.”
Bruno Fernandes’ contribution to Manchester United’s success last season was huge and his passion is probably second to none in the squad., especially in a game that turned out to be quite an embarrassing outing for Solskjaer’s men in the Premier League.
