Manchester United have been a topic of great discussion over the past few months because of their performance in the transfer window. The Red Devils had reportedly prioritized the signing of a winger this summer, namely Jadon Sancho, but failed miserably. In his latest post-game interview with MUTV, Bruno Fernandes has hit out at the media to criticize Manchester United’s summer plans and transfers.
It was earlier reported that Bruno Fernandes was upset with Manchester United’s board for not signing a marquee player this summer. The Red Devils didn’t even sign one of Solskjaer’s priority signings, which included Dayot Upamecano, Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho. But Fernandes has hit back at critics and believes the criticism is unwanted at Manchester United in such a crunch period.
In his recent interview, Fernandes said: “Everyone is talking about we need a defender, we need a midfielder, we need a striker, we need a winger. It is easier talking from outside saying we need everything and don’t be on the pitch, you now? He also added, “I think we need to look for each other, help each other and be positive as a team.”
Manchester United face an uphill task of facing PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal and RB Leipzig in a row. The Red Devils will have to be at their best to come out on top from that run of tough fixtures. Bruno Fernandes is surely Manchester United’s most important player and he will look to take his form from the Premier League to the Champions League.
