Manchester United have been heavily linked with Jack Grealish in the past and several players of Manchester United past and present have shown their admiration for the talented young midfielder.
He has been terrific with Villa this and last season and compliments his fellow teammates really well. Bryan Robson told Goal that, “I wouldn’t mind seeing him in a Manchester United shirt.” He also felt that the Aston Villa star could bring a lot of flair to the midfield.
While he could certainly be a great addition to this Manchester United side or any of the top sides the Red Devils may not be a fancy player who comes with his price tag. Ole has been looking for an overhaul and a defensive reinforcement is something that will definitely be on his radar this transfer window.
Moreover, they have just brought in another young and exciting forward to boost their attack. Their midfield seems really solid at the moment as most of their stars are stepping up to the plate and delivering the goods when required. It would really be difficult to picture so many bright first-team prospects in the midfield and you wouldn’t buy Jack Grealish only to have him on the bench.
Aston Villa most certainly won’t give him away that cheap as most of their creative endeavour rests on his shoulders and is now also shared by the likes of Ross Barkley who is on a loan spell from Chelsea and may not be there in the long-term future. Aston Villa has been spending a decent amount of money to get their side in a good shape but it would be extremely hard to replace the young and talented midfielder.
