Edinson Cavani was one of Manchester United’s deadline day signings this transfer window and the Uruguayan has also got the United No.7. The Uruguayan striker is yet to make his debut for the Red Devils but is in contention to play tonight against Chelsea. In his recent pre-match interview, Solskjaer has given a slight indication that Cavani might make his debut against Chelsea later tonight.
Edinson Cavani has scored wherever he has played, no matter the opposition or the competition he is playing in. He will be expected to do the same for Manchester United as well, as the Red Devils look for silverware this season. Cavani’s signing has created a lot of stir in the fanbase but everyone will hope that the Uruguayan does his magic at Old Trafford.
In his recent interview, Solskjaer said: “He’s very meticulous. He knows what he wants, and he knows what he needs, and he’s been asking for special things. He wants to tick the boxes before he feels ready for the games and that’s the sign of a top professional. I think he’ll be available for the weekend.”
Manchester United will hope for Cavani to get match fitness as soon as possible and score goals, as many as possible. Against Chelsea, Cavani has a great record and if he plays tonight, he will look to make the record even better. With a few hours to go before we get the official lineups, only time will tell if Cavani starts for the Red Devils.
