Chadwick defends Fred after player receives tones of online abuse

Manchester United midfielder Fred has been guarded against his online abusers by former Red Devils expert Luke Chadwick.

The Brazilian had a terrible game against Leicester City at the end of the week, making an individual mistake that prompted the first goal for Kelechi Iheanacho at the King Power Stadium.

Obviously, heaps of Man Utd fans hit out at Fred for the error and a horrible showing for what it’s worth, with Leicester unquestionably the better group as they won 3-1 to advance into the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Chadwick, notwithstanding, feels Fred frequently gets a great deal of unneeded analysis and that he’s had a solid season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side for certain solid, dedicated exhibitions in the protective midfield job. It’s reasonable Fred is never liable to be the sort of player to create wonder-goals or blockbuster passes, yet Chadwick believes he’s essential to the group and is frequently been made a scapegoat by fans.

Addressing the media, Chadwick stated that the midfielder likewise brought up that Harry Maguire presumably didn’t help Fred by playing the pass to him in that position.

Chadwick said: “I think Fred has been consistently a good performer for United this season, obviously he has his critics, he’s not a stand-out player but he does the dirty work really well. For maybe the first time in his United career, he looked a little leggy yesterday and wasn’t at his best, getting close to people and covering ground the way we’re used to. He does get made the scapegoat a lot because he’s not one to score goals or assist goals, but I think his role in the team is really important and the sort of legs he’s got to get around the pitch is massively important, and has played a part in United’s good results this season.”

Although Fred was not so good but such abuses based on color are really bad and not at all acceptable in any way. Maybe Fred can bounce back in the upcoming games and provide some good performance for the team like the one we saw against AC Milan.
