According to the Manchester Evening News, Mauricio Pochettino is the biggest threat to Erik ten Hag’s job at Manchester United.
The Dutch manager will not be feeling very secure about his job since the shocking announcement yesterday revealing the Blues being close to parting ways with their manager.
The Red Devils’ have faced severe criticism for the way their team has performed and the manager has received the harsh words due to his questionable tactics in this campaign.
Ten Hag has one chance to prove that he is fit for his role and that is in the FA Cup final. If they fail to lift a silverware, they are destined to receive the tag of being a team with the worst performance since the 1960s.
But the gaffer will be well aware of the fact that he is not fully protected, and that INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe might explore the possibility of bringing in a new manager.

It might not be the wisest decision, but a risky path that can bring mixed results. Several top coaches have been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna, Brighton and Hove Albion coach Roberto de Zerbi and Bayern Munich’s Thomas Tuchel are among those discussed but none of them will grab more attention than Pochettino.
Ratcliffe wants a manager who is tactically astute and develops young players. He was close to acquiring the Argentine for French club Nice in 2022.

However, Pochettino preferred to move to Paris Saint-Germain and the doors were closed. He was also linked with a move to Man Utd when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in 2022.
This time the INEOS chief has a chance to land the Blues manager before any other club can take their chances.
But will it be the best move or giving one more season to Ten Hag work wonders? Only time will tell. The owners have a very important decision to make in the upcoming months.
