Manchester United legend, Andy Cole was one of the best strikers in the club’s history and has been an ambassador for United after retirement. Cole has rarely spoken about United’s situation, but whenever he has, the centre-forward has meant business. In his latest talk with The Mirror, Andy Cole has expressed his views about the way United are playing their football lately.
Manchester United have changed the way the club used to play football after the departure of former manager Jose Mourinho. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has employed an attacking style of football at United, especially since the restart. Due to the virtue of their attacking football, Manchester United hasn’t lost a game since January in the Premier League.
In his latest interview, he said: “Some of the signings Ole’s made have made Manchester United better, more creative. I think he’s got them playing with a freedom now that they should be playing with and that’s what everyone wanted to see. I think they (the front three) are all good enough to hold that responsibility of scoring goals. They played very well last season, all contributing and creating chances.”
Solskjaer will hope his attack will score even more goals to give United a real chance to challenge for trophies this season. The Red Devils boss is on the hunt for further attacking reinforcements before the summer transfer window comes to a close, with the Borussia Dortmund and England star-forward Jadon Sancho being high on Solskjaer’s wishlist.
