Manchester United FC are back in action tonight as they face LASK in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie. The Red Devils are all but through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League because of their 5-0 win in the first leg. Thus, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put out a relatively weakened side at Old Trafford tonight.
As predicted earlier, the likes of Fred, Mctominay, Ighalo, Lingard, James, Fosu-Mensah and Romero all feature in tonight’s game. All of the above-mentioned players haven’t featured heavily since the restart and are thus fielded to prove their quality. Romero is back in goal after being left out in the FA Cup semi-final, in which he was supposed to play instead of De Gea.
Harry Maguire features in the side yet again, having started all the Premier League games last season. He is partnered by Eric Bailly, who doesn’t have a lot of time to prove himself, and will be eager to put in a shift. The Europa League might be Lingard’s last chance as well to impress at United and the Englishman would love to score tonight.
Even a weakened United lineup should prove to be enough for LASK, and the Red Devils should win this game easily.
