Could Tottenham go after Dean Henderson as a replacement?

Mauricio Pochettino the former Tottenham boss has currently been offered the job of head coach for PSG and if rumours are to be believed he is interested in reconnecting with some of his ex-players in the Tottenham squad.

According to The Sun, Mauricio Pochettino is interested in bringing Hugo Lloris to his current club along with some of the other outcasts at Tottenham.

If this happens Tottenham will be in dire need to get an apt replacement and sources are suggesting that Jose Mourinho may be interested in lining up Sam Johnstone and Dean Henderson as possible replacements should Lloris choose to leave.

Henderson has been given really limited game time at Manchester United as De Gea is proving that he is still very capable in between the posts and that can be frustrating for a goalkeeper of Dean Henderson’s quality.

Henderson may have had a shaky start to life at Manchester United by shone brightly last season as Sheffield United’s preferred goalkeeper. He is still young and has a long way to go which is why Manchester United will not be keen on selling him that easily.

Jose Mourinho and Tottenham have a long history with Manchester United and shipping him off to White Hart Lane will directly be making an opponent stronger and formidable in the distant future if not right now.

Dean Henderson is a local lad and playing as the first-choice goalkeeper is a dream that very few people get to achieve but he still needs to refine his craft and the mental side of his game.

Even if Tottenham are interested in him, I don’t see this transfer taking place because of the history between the two clubs.
