As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has departed the club without any payoff.
It was reported that the club will not pay the remaining £11.5 million payoff to the legendary star.
Both parties decided to end the contract by mutual consent rather than dragging it any further. United were ready to sue the 37-year-old in case the player rejected the offer to terminate his contract.
Ronaldo leaves the club after scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances for his dream club. The striker joined the Old Trafford outfit just 18 months ago, but he was unable to inspire the side to another title this year.
No pay off for Cristiano Ronaldo as both sides only wanted to have clean resolution to respect the history of Ronaldo at Man Utd. No ongoing strings on either side. 🚨🔴 #MUFC

The Red Devils star spoke highly of the club’s poor decisions on and off the field. However, the board and the manager were unhappy with his targeted comments at a time when the club had started making good progress under Erik ten Hag.
Anthony Martial’s fitness record is not among the best, and Marcus Rashford has preferred to play better on the left-wing flank. Ten Hag will be looking for a versatile attacking player who can spearhead the front-line for years.
In another shocking revelation, the Glazers have also declared that they are looking for a potential investment in the club.
