As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace has made a loan bid for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek, but the Eagles will face stiff competition from a number of clubs. Patrick Vieira clearly wants to bolster his squad ahead of a crucial three months of Premier League football.
Donny Van de Beek wants to quit Manchester United to play regularly, having made just four Premier League appearances since joining Ajax in 2020, none of which have occurred this season.

As a result, the 24-year-old has lost his starting spot in the Netherlands team and is eager to get his place back ahead of the World Cup. With Palace having made an approach to sign him on a season-long loan, he has the chance to do so.
The Eagles have made a straight loan proposal for Van de Beek and United has openly stated that they want their player’s wages to be paid in full before agreeing on a deal.

Manchester United will not include a buy option in the agreement because they want to see how Van de Beek fits into the plans of their future permanent manager as they continue their search to sign a new manager this summer.
Erik Ten Hag, Van de Beek’s former Ajax manager, is one of the candidates for the post at Old Trafford next season.
The Netherland international has only played 69 minutes in the Premier League this season, with eight substitute appearances, and a move to Selhurst Park could give him a chance to revive his career.
