Diogo Dalot has been at the centre of a lot of transfer speculation this summer after Ed Woodward put the player for sale. Dalot had a difficult time last season with the emergence of Aaron Wan Bissaka and has fallen down the pecking order. It has now been reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that Dalot has joined AC Milan on-loan for the rest of this season.
Dalot had attracted several clubs this season like Everton, PSG, Barcelona and even AS Roma. The Italian club wanted to include Dalot in the same deal with Chris Smalling, seeing the right-back joining Roma on-loan. But that move didn’t materialize as Dalot was interested in a move to Italy, but not the Roman club.
It is now being reported that Dalot and Manchester United have agreed with AC Milan for a loan move for the want-away defender. AC Milan will only sign Diogo Dalot on-loan with no obligation or option to buy at the end of this season. This should be a welcome move for the Portuguese defender as he will have a lot of game-time in Italy.

Manchester United are slowly shipping out their deadwood but also need to get new signings in order to strengthen the squad.
