Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has targeted Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo as his next transfer target and Manchester United are preparing a bid of £35 million for the youngster.
As the Red Devils finished in sixth place on the Premier League table, it is very different from what the fans at the club are used to expecting. The 20-time Premier League champions have a big task ahead of them to get back to the summit in England.
Solskjaer has already made a splash in the summer transfer market by signing Daniel James and Aaron Wan Bissaka over the past few weeks but still needs reinforcing at Old Trafford. There are also rumors circling the future of World Cup winning French midfielder Paul Pogba this summer transfer window as the 26-year-old is linked with a move to Real Madrid.
United are now desperate to land a backup and solid replacement for Pogba if he leaves the club this summer and is lined up with a move for Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb.
The 21-year-old Olmo was extremely imperative for Spain’s U-21’s as they won the Euro tournament as he scored three goals in four appearances during the competition. A host of top clubs in Europe are interested in signing the midfielder as he has proved his creative ability in front of goal.
Manchester United are looking to make a bid of £35 million to convince the Croatian club to sell their prized asset Olmo in order to keep ahead of the rival competitors.
