Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund completes Manchester United medical

According to the Manchester Evening News, Rasmus Hojlund has successfully completed his Manchester United medical as he nears the completion of his £85 million transfer.

The club is currently in the process of finalizing Hojlund’s visa, registration, and contract details. The 20-year-old has agreed to a five-year deal with the possibility of extending it by another year.

The official announcement of the striker’s signing is anticipated to be made during United’s friendly match against Lens at 12:45 pm at Old Trafford on Saturday.

However, the schedule surrounding the signing of Hojlund had to be changed as he arrived later than planned on Tuesday at Manchester Airport around 4:15 pm.

Activities and meetings with supporters that were originally scheduled for Wednesday were cancelled, and United focused on conducting his medical examination instead.

On Saturday morning, United reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign the Danish star for a fee of £75 million, with an additional £10 million in add-ons. This came after United initially indicated that they would not pay more than £60 million for the player.

Hojlund emerged as the club’s primary striker target following their decision not to pursue Tottenham’s star player, Harry Kane.

Senior sources within Man United view Hojlund as a “rough diamond” with the potential to develop into one of the top goal-scorers in European football under the guidance of manager Erik ten Hag.
