Danny Mills expects Declan Rice to move to Man United for £100m

The Football Insider pundit Danny Mills considers Declan Rice to move to Man United for a price of £100m. He expects United to make a huge bid which will be impossible for West Ham to turn down.

The former Leeds United defender has claimed that United could make a big-money bid to find an upgrade for Fred and Scott McTominay.

Declan Rice has been in fine form for West Ham and England and has been a starter in the squad. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has been a key player on David Moyes’s side. He was also a crucial part of Gareth Southgate’s impressive England squad which made it to the finals of the recently played Euros 2020.

Declan Rice seems to be the final puzzle of Solskjaer’s developing squad. With Fred and Scott McTominay being inconsistent and prone to committing simple mistakes, Rice could be a long-term investment for Manchester United.

Danny Mills feels that the Hammers will accept such a big offer if United makes an attempt to sign the versatile midfielder.

He said:

“It would be very, very difficult to turn it down if a £100million bid did come in. It’s easy to say ‘I’d never do this, I’d never do that. Very, very easy. All of a sudden, it’s on the table and you go ‘Ooh erm, tell you what, it’s not bad, is it?’.”

“Talking about it is one thing and it’s easy to say no when it’s a hypothetical. But when it’s put in front of you and its reality, it’s different. £100million, Declan Rice? We can buy someone else for £40million or we can dip into the Czech Republic again and pick up another star for £15million. You know what? I think we’ll do that.”

Declan Rice has been on the radar of some of Europe’s top elite teams like Chelsea and Manchester City.

It seems that such a big offer will be impossible for any team to turn down and David Moyes would look to invest that money in signing many talented players.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer will have such big funding available to him only if he stabilizes his team’s current form and brings them back on the right track before the next transfer window.
