Manchester United’s No.1, David De Gea has rewound the clock and looks to be back at his best this season. The Spaniard has conceded a lot of goals already this season, due to a leaky defence, but has also saved some blinders. In his recent talk with MUTV, De Gea expressed what he feels about Manchester United’s defence and its improvement after a poor start to the season.
David De Gea has sprung into action this season, after the arrival of Dean Henderson in the summer. He was fantastic against PSG and Newcastle, saving the Red Devils at a couple of crucial moments. His form will be good news to Solskjaer who will only benefit from a healthy competition between two quality goalkeepers.
In his recent talk with MUTV, De Gea said: “For us it’s very important to start to keep clean sheets, especially here at home. Every training session we always try to improve, make the team better defensively and work for each other. So it’s important to get a clean sheet and that’s the way to keep going and to win games.”
De Gea kept Manchester United’s first clean sheet in the Premier League this season against Chelsea, in the weekend. Next up, the Red Devils face RB Leipzig in the Champions League, which will a stern test for the team at Old Trafford. The Spaniard will look to keep up his good form and play well against the German club.
