As reported by Manchester Evening News, Dean Henderson has revealed the extent of his injury and is highly optimistic about his return. He has shared his experience about his entire injury spell.
Dean Henderson was a part of England’s Euro squad and played a few matches but was then withdrawn due to a hip injury. He was replaced by Ramsdale and since then he has been recovering from his injury.
He has started his pre-season training with Manchester United and has been recovering well. His good progress has been a plus point for the young goalkeeper as he is in contention to start United’s opening PL match against Leeds United.

Dean Henderson has revealed that he played with the injury for the entire season last year. His hip injury has caused him problems throughout the season. He was still able to push himself to play more.
He said: “Obviously I was devastated at the time when I had to pull out of the squad. But I had an injury ongoing from the Burnley game last season and I was really struggling. I had a really bad left hip and I needed it to be addressed and I took a scan when I was away with England. I tried to keep it quiet because obviously, I wanted to be involved and not miss any games towards the end of last season, I just wanted to keep the momentum going. For me, it was something I needed to get sorted so having a break and getting my head right and then coming back in early and getting everything sorted so I’m ready for the season is something I’m looking forward to.”
He has not played any preseason games for United until now but has been recovering really well. David De Gea and Dean Henderson both will be fighting for the No.1 spot and they should be fit to play regularly next season.
We think that Solskjaer will prefer Dean Henderson more as he has been in fine form this year.
