Manchester United FC goalkeeper David De Gea has been under the scrutiny for the last couple of seasons between the sticks. The Spaniard has made the highest errors leading to goals in the past two seasons and has faced a lot of criticism. But now reports suggest that Dean Henderson is ready to replace De Gea and has issued Solskjaer with a warning.
Henderson has been on-loan with Sheffield United for the past couple of seasons and has been performing very well. Sighting his development and De Gea’s decline in form, Henderson is seemingly confident of replacing the Spaniard as United’s No.1. Though Solskjaer has been supportive of De Gea, the Norwegian has to make a decision regarding both the goalkeepers.
Henderson has no shortage of suitors with keen interest from Chelsea especially, who offered him a massive paycheck. On the other hand, United have blocked any interest and have themselves offered Henderson a lucrative deal to stay with Manchester United. But Henderson has reportedly made it clear to Solskjaer either to keep him and hand him the reins at Old Trafford or sell him to Chelsea.
Solskjaer has a huge decision to make this summer regarding the situation of his goalkeepers. Sergio Romero is also looking to move on for more game-time and this might put United in a tight corner.
