As reported by The Sun, Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson will finalize his transfer to Nottingham Forest within the next 48 hours.
After passing a physical test, the 25-year-old will sign a season-long loan agreement with the recently promoted team.
On Friday, Forest will resume training, and the agreement to sign Henderson has been in place for some time. The contract for Henderson will not include a buyout clause.
However, after getting married to his fiancée in Rome last week, he has been signing a contract that is much, much more significant. After getting married, the United No. 2 went on honeymoon, which is why he was late for the City match.
Dean Henderson sees himself as the obvious replacement for Old Trafford legend David de Gea, whom he has been unable to replace. The English goalkeeper has experience moving on loan.
He had a very successful stint with Sheffield United, where he played and helped the team win promotion and then stay in the Premier League. He plans to return at the end of the new season and believes he can establish himself as United’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Nottingham Forest has already helped United develop one of their own talents in the form of James Garner. The highly-rated midfielder has been sensational for the newly promoted team. He could get a chance to feature for Erik Ten Hag in the upcoming campaign.
