France coach Didier Deschamps was loaded with praise for Manchester United star Anthony Martial for his performance in their 2-0 success over Kazakhstan.
The Manchester United forward set up Ousmane Dembele for the initial goal in Nur-Sultan yet took a thump in the second-half prior to being substituted by PSG’s Kylian Mbappe. His pass for the goal was perfectly accurate and was able to find Dembele with loads of space which created the goal.
Deschamps while asked about Martial’s performance said: “Anthony was behind the opening goal. It’s good for them both. They did some interesting things. From the moment I selected them, they are in the squad to be used. I have other attackers in this squad. But for the profile of the opponent, it was important to commit opponents and to dribble. They both did it pretty well.”
Anthony Martial hasn’t got a ton of recognition this season since it’s been apparently his most terrible phase in a United shirt. Last season it seemed as though he had improved as he scored consistently however has gone in reverse since.
Ideally, the thump he supported isn’t anything genuine so Martial can expand on this support when he gets back to his club. Manchester United actually has a great deal to play for with the second spot in the Premier League table available for the team, just as the Europa League.
A solid completion to the season should see Martial on the plane for France’s European Championships crusade this mid-year. The World Champions will be among the top choices to win the competition out and out and Martial will not have any desire to pass up a great opportunity this time.
Support from the French manager is a must need for the player and Martial will look forward to continuing his impressive performance with Manchester United.
