Deschamps talks about Anthony Martial

Manchester United striker and No.9, Anthony Martial has a poor start to the season, unlike last season when he was the club’s highest scorer. The Frenchman hasn’t been prolific for France also, even though he has got a lot of opportunities in the recent past. In his recent talk with TF1, France national team coach Didier Deschamps has talked about how Martial has improved but stills needs to be better.

It was earlier reported that Anthony Martial had regained his spot in the French national team setup. The striker has done well for France but has failed to get goals despite getting chances to score. Deschamps has also stated the same about Martial, as he now might be dropped from the national team squad.

In his recent interview, Deschamps said: “He lacked in finishing – it seemed a little bit clumsy. But sincerely, having watched the moments again, it came down to small margins. He is part of the group of players who have not been here for a long period of time, but he has changed during this period, on the pitch and off of it.”

Anthony Martial is United’s main man when it comes to scoring goals as he is Solskjaer’s No.9. The Frenchman needs to get goals for the Red Devils, like he did last season, to earn a reputation as a proven Premier League striker. Solskjaer and Martial would both hope that the United No.9 would be amongst the goals for the rest of the season for Manchester United.
