As revealed by the Manchester Evening News, Diogo Dalot has returned to Manchester United’s training sessions after a three-week break.
The Portuguese right-back had to be sidelined during the first half of United’s League Cup victory over Charlton on January 10 due to a hamstring issue, but he might be able to play against Crystal Palace in the Premier League game on Saturday.
Dalot started in 20 of United’s first 21 games before the World Cup, the only one he missed due to suspension. He was in the Old Trafford directors’ box for the 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old missed the start of United’s season in December because of a hamstring injury he suffered on December 10 during Portugal’s World Cup quarterfinal loss to Morocco. Dalot did not make a comeback until the victory over Bournemouth in January. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who had barely played four minutes all season before the World Cup, has started United’s last six league games.
Also, United manager Erik ten Hag revealed that Scott McTominay has been sidelined for weeks, while Eriksen won’t be back until at least late April owing to an ankle issue.
The Red Devils have signed Bayern Munich star Marcel Sabitzer on loan to fill the void left by the Danish midfielder.
