According to The Sun, Dusan Vlahovic’s agent blocked an £89 million January transfer to Manchester United last summer.
The Serbian international joined Juventus from Serie A rivals Fiorentina for £62.8m in January 2022 amid high interest from other clubs.
The Italian giants may have to sell their star player due to their financial difficulties and the most recent sanctions, which resulted in the club losing 15 points. As previously mentioned, the Serbian striker’s reported move to England was also in the hands of Juventus.
It is said that United was the club that was looking for a transfer, and Juventus were seeking between 100 and 120 million euros for Vlahovic. The representative for the Juventus attacker allegedly pulled the plug on discussions just as they were about to come to a close. Vlahovic has scored eight goals in 14 Serie A games this season, despite Juventus losing points this season.
Given that United is unlikely to make Wout Weghorst’s loan deal permanent, the team will likely be searching for a centre-forward in January. It is also said that Real Madrid would probably compete with the Red Devils for the Serb’s services this summer.
