Ed Woodward has backed Solksjaer to succeed at Man United

Ed Woodward told a web forum that he believed in Solksjaer’s abilities and he has his support.

Problems pilled up when United failed to get a win over PSG and therefore taking their fate for UCL round of 16 qualifications to the last game against Leipzig. Even the loss against Istanbul Beseksehir proved that the team is lacking consistency.

Further questions were raised over Solskjaer this week following United’s 3-1 thrashing to Paris Saint-Germain at home, which leaves their Champions League trusts yet to be determined. It additionally proceeded with the group’s frightful home structure, having won only three of their eight games at Old Trafford in all rivalries this season.

If the supporters were back at Old Trafford I am sure they would get behind the team and manager. Away from home especially, if they could…

Ed Woodward has been on the negative side for many fans due to failed transfers and irresponsible management. Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill has left the hierarchy, United has not been consistent in the game. Woodward previously has sacked three managers since he has been at the helm, but has given his support to Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Yet, Woodward has advocated the under-tension director, demanding he holds the confidence of the club and that United need security and consistency to return to the high level. He additionally said he has seen ‘positive signs’ from the group under the previous striker and is certain Solskjaer is the correct man in control.

Woodward told an online fans’ forum via Zoom: “Of course, we recognize there’s more hard work ahead to achieve the consistency needed to win trophies. But we see positive signs on the pitch and the training ground that reinforce our belief in the progress being made by Ole, his coaching team, and the players.”

This belief is obviously productive, but can we see more actions than just mouth-watering words. As a Manchester United fan, I hope we will.
