Last night against Burnley, game was a good one for United that helped them seal 3 points and be up in the title contentions. All the visiting fans were seen supporting the team as well as the manager who has been in quarreling terms with Ed Woodward.
What was noticeable and extravagant to see was a group of Mourinho’s supporter’s had paid for a plane to fly over Turf Moor, with a message written on it. The message was very disheartening from United’s point of view which stated “ Ed Woodward A Specialist in Failure.” The fans had specially paid a plane to fly over Turf Moor with this banner attached to it, in the middle of the Game. The message clearly told that Woodward is to be blamed for United’s poor transfer window and is the reason Mourinho could not get a centre-back to strengthen his team.
The banner was a perfect replay of 2014 where United fans displayed a same banner for David Moyes. A banner with the words ‘David Moyes – The Wrong One’ flew over Old Trafford as United took on Aston Villa.
When asked to Mourinho about this act of fans, his reply was a bit amusing. He said “I am not looking to the sky unless I am asking the guy for help!” he told a news conference. “I didn’t see planes but Ed Woodward won 2-0 this afternoon”
And the man of match goes to Jose Mourinho for saving the executive from vividly pitiful words of the fans.
