Protestors attacked the home of Manchester United chief executive, Ed Woodward, a week ago. It was further claimed that this attack has been due to the wake of United’s participation in the Super League.
Manchester United fans have been staging a protest outside Old Trafford for many days. Various demonstrators focused on Woodward’s home in Cheshire last Thursday to communicate their outrage of United’s inclusion in the European Super League.
No one was home at the hour of the occurrence, as indicated by Sky Sports, with the attackers making harm through the front entryway of the property. Around the same time, fans broke into the United preparing office at Carrington. Manchester United has since expanded security at their Carrington base.
Manchester United has been seeing a lot of threats face towards them by the fans and the club has already started increasing security in the stadium. Premier League club’s inclusion in the Super League has been taking the storm and several fans, players, and pundits have been raising their voice against the Big clubs.
They were labeled as ‘shameful’, ‘disastrous’, ‘disgusting’, and several clubs withdrew from the Super League plan due to this protest from fans and players. Woodward resigned from his role but is still receiving threats from fans.
Glazers have been at the end of this hate now as protest has been planned against Glazers when United face Liverpool this week. Every United fan wants Glazers to leave the club ownership. United will need to restore their lost glory with a new owner and new authority down the line to guide the club to the correct path.
But we all agree to the fact that such an assault on Woodward’s house is also not acceptable as this could have led to injuries and serious risk to their lives.
