As revealed by Premier League’s official website, Edinson Cavani has been granted the Premier League Goal of the Month award for May with his wonderful goal for Manchester United against Fulham.
The Uruguayan scored of a brilliant 40-yard chip at Old Trafford was without a doubt a wondrous thing and he was worthy of the award.
Manchester United had a fair season in the league. Given the unfortunate beginning they had, barely one would have anticipated that they should be firing the League in January and afterward completing second to Manchester City. There were a lot of positives to be taken from the season overall.

One player who has impressed everyone with his skills and goals is none other than Edinson Cavani. Joining as a free agent from PSG, he has been a great signing for United. He has already scored 15+ goals this season but the goal he scored against Fulham was the best among all of them.
It appeared as if Cavani was holding back to score probably the best goal in a United shirt in front of 10,000 fans was they were permitted for the last game of the League season and the Stretford End had the chance to observe their saint scoring is super goal.
Indeed, the goal was somewhat disputable given Cavani was at first offside when De Gea played his long pass. Notwithstanding, it appeared as though Fernandes had made an amazing flick in transit through which played the striker onside.
El Matador saw Alphonse Areola off his line and didn’t require a subsequent greeting to chip one in from 40 yards out. Cavani turned into the second United player to grab the honour this season. Fernandes did likewise in February with his top-class goal against Everton.
Fans will presumably be expecting to see more of these goals from their No. 7 in the coming season.
