Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjer is on the verge of being fired, according to Fabrizio Romano, with his future being discussed at an emergency board meeting following a humiliating defeat to Watford.
United are lingering at the eighth spot and are 12 points behind league leaders Chelsea with Solskjaer losing four of the five league games in the trot.
Following Manchester United’s 4-1 loss to Watford, reports surfaced that the club’s board had summoned an emergency meeting to discuss Solskjaer’s future, with his future to be the main focus of the discussion.
Solskjaer has grabbed just one win in his team’s last seven Premier League games, a record that has left them with just 17 points from their first 12 games.

Also, The Mirror, The Glazer family has also urged club officials to speed up efforts to persuade Zinedine Zidane, indicating a definite push for the Frenchman to replace Solskjaer.
Unfortunately, defending Solskjaer over United’s recent form has become practically impossible, and the latest headlines reflect that. The Norwegian manager is still regarded as a hero by the club’s fans, but his reign has grown worse.
The latest news point to a sacking, which is disappointing progress considering last season’s improvement. There was a sense of genuine progress toward the end of the last season, but that feeling has vanished.
Solskjaer is very close to getting sacked now.
